Battery heating up while charging? (and sleep mode?)

Hello
My iphone seldomly gets extremely hot while charging (and even seldomly while in sleep mode).
I mean exremely hot to the point where if I drop a drop of raw egg, I feel like it will be cooked.
Does anyone else's iphone has similar issue?
(It seems like it heats up when I charge from computer/car rather than the dock)

by "seldomly" do you really mean sometimes?

anyway, if a device gets so hot that it'll cook an egg and you don't return it, your hand deserves the apple mark of shame branded on it.

I found the same thing with mine happened IF I left wi-fi on while charging... but not just that. It had a "weak" wi-fi signal. If I have a strong signal (like in my home), it doesn't heat up in the slightest.

I know it's strange, but it's definitely related to wi-fi somehow. It somewhat makes sense, as wi-fi signals are technically microwave (same frequency).

I have the same issue could be the wifi. I always have the Wifi Radio on...

not bad... the new update 1.1.x will prevent users from cooking eggs on their iphone!!

if not, ATT will get really pissed at Mr Steeve!
