HTC X7501 & TomTom

has any one had sucess running Tom Tom Navigator 6 on the HTC X7501? I cant get it to find the internal GPS receiver.

Do you know that COM Port that the GPS is sitting in? if yes, you can always just tell TomTom where to look.

You have to use the "other NMEA GPS receiver" option when configuring the GPS receiver in Tomtom. I set the software port to COM4 and the hardware port to "none" in the GPS setting section. Then go into Tomtom and configure the GPS, select "other NMEA GPS reciever, then select 9600 baud, and select COM4.

Thanks I think that's got it. It helped when I took the unit outside. Previous (blue tooth) gps receivers worked in the house it appears the X7501 will not.
