I really need help,
I'm stuck between 2 phones..... The Glofiish X800(alittle cheaper) and The TyTN 2(:$$$)

I was comparing the 2 phone on GSMarena.com........
when I notice that the HTC has "Built-in GPS navigation" and the Glofiish X800 has a "GPS receiver with SiRF Star 3"

I would like to know whats the different between them....

Thanks

are they the same feature with different NAME!?

SiRF III is a specific GPS chipset (of of the best at the moment). They both have GPS.

GPS function is similar on the two phones. Go to the Forum on mobileplanet...see how many people complain that their N700's GPS just quit after a few months, and you'll wonder about how reliable E-Ten's products are. I'm not planning to get an X800 even though its specs are just awesome.

Have only used it a couple of times on the 8925 tilt and i like it.
i relly like the speak it feature the most. It allows me to speak the info and routes me instead of trying to type while driving.

The inconsistency of description between the two phones is a little deceiving. The SiRF III chip is considered a GPS receiver, but generally speaking, receivers are stand-alone GPS units that communicate with phones and smart devices through bluetooth. It is like comparing TVs and one says HDTV cable ready, and the other says "with HDTV receiver". Its just a little ambiguous.
