w580i debranding with Wotan trouble

so i go to the wotan guide and try following the directions:
But when I plug in the usb port to the phone while pressing c nothing happens
than after like a minute the phone turns on and says ready for file transfer?
Wotans server is not recognizing my phone and just has the connect your phone pressing c, and "waiting" thing on the menu?
Why

My computer always says, new hardware found, and wants to check for a software update, i say no, and than it says install drivers, and i say cancel, and it says there was an error with the hardware installation.

I am going to debrand using the middle choice R6BC0002 CID 52http://www.wotanserver.com/en/suppo...580-debranding/
is this going to the same thing as the other 2 in terms of what it will do for debranding the phone? And because its CID52 do I need to buy 2 credits or 1?

Did you go to the Sony site and install SEUS first before you started the whole wootang thing?

I don't know about that method because I found so much better instructions and free software is available if you just search around.

where did you find better instructions with the free software?
did you use like that xs++ server? I think that does the same thing as Wotan too but I just wanted to get this done in the "5 minutes" people have been saying it takes.

I got my w580i debranded with XS++ in 15 minutes. Look at www.se-nse.net for guides

It says there is no update necessary with the SEUS. I bought this phone 2 weeks ago

Will R6BC002 CID52 do the job? I don't know if I have to buy 2 credits or 1
