Yahoo Mail Settings

I've got an unlocked iPhone running Tmobile's Blackberry plan, trying to check my Yahoo Plus account.
Using the standard Yahoo settings I put in my username and password and it authenticates OK.
When I go to my inbox the spinny wheel goes on forever and no mail comes through.
What am I doing wrong?
I've also tried setting it up as an "Other" account with the following settings:
pop.mail.yahoo.com:995
smtp.mail.yahoo.com:465
and that didn't work either.
Any suggestions?
