Holiday Planogram...

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Anyone else enjoying the pounds and pounds of glitter that is constantly falling off of this lovely decor?

Posted by: cingtd

Huh??? Care to explain???

Posted by: aj&t

All the stuff for the holiday planogram is coated with glitter and while unpacking it and hanging it the glitter goes everywhere. Also for the stuff hanging from the ceiling the HVAC knocks glitter off of the stuff onto the floor and counters, its like a snow storm of glitter.

Posted by: attSSR

yup, I agree..it's a mess. I still think at&t should pay someone to come do all this decorating instead of making us do it. It's a pain in the butt! and yes, glitter is everywhere!

Posted by: ATnt-RSC

Yeah, the glitter sucks, and I never even knew all those decorations were called "Swag." It wasn't too bad. We got it knocked down in under two hours.

My favorit part was the "Holiday 2007 Kissing Ball". When I saw this box my first thought was "WTF?"

Our store's cleaning guy is probably enjoying this loveliness all over the floor right now...

Does anyone realize that if it were not for this complete waste of time and money, AT&T could afford to pay all of you a sustainable living wage? Lord I have to laugh everytime I open a new piece of marketing junk or new brochure, to in turn throw into the trash the last incredible unopened waste of money and resources.

It is a waste of funds but the junk puts the customers in the holiday mood. ATT always does the best for holiday decor than any other wireless company.

I was in NY Saturday night and walked by the store in Time SQ. Poor saps were tearing the place apart at midnight.

Is it just my store or are the orange wrapping paper tears (around the people who are loving their phones) coming undone? It seems like we have to press them back down again everyday.

Amen. Preach it. I think the same exact thing every time the company ships us a 10 X 4 ft UPS box, overnight shipping, that only has 2 car chargers in it.

And no, I'm not being sarchastic.

Posted by: aj&t

Nothing beats the massive boxes they send that look like they have stanchion signs in them. You are then surprised to open them and find 2 8"x11" signs in a 18"x24" box.

just look at it like this: all that money wasted is your hard earned commission dollars hard at work.

haha don't get me started on the all crap that at&t sends to corp. stores which most materials are NEVER even given out to customers because it's useless or even used to put up as displays in the store. sometimes I can't fathom all the marketing dollars going down the drain with all the endless brochures, signs, and cutouts.

Not at this moment but I did just send you a Burl Ives Holiday Wonderland CD so you can get the rest of your store in the Holiday spirit, and if you enjoy that I will send you a tin of holiday Cingular caramel popcorn circa 2004.

Cellgirl...you are from the NE like us...I bet we know each other...what Agent do (did) you work for?

What CellOne and JP (and now me) are complaining about is the utter stupidity and waste that is AT&T's marketing department. We throw away enough paper, cardboard, brochures and other junk to fill an airplane hangar for Pete's sake. If they would just use their heads and send only the stuff we need (and for the love of God get somebody to PROOFREAD this stuff BEFORE they go to print), maybe they wouldn't have to screw us out of commissions, or dare I say, charge an "upgrade fee." But that's a debate for another thread...

I work in a COR store in the Great Lakes Market.... I have worked for other carries in the past and even in a bank.. and they all over do the marketing items and send refrigerator size boxes for 2 cases the size of mice! Thats just corporate america, as far as the overkill on brochures, bill stuffers, and mailers that may be and many of you may throw them away, but we have a TON of customers who bring those into the store and want to know what this, that, or the other is. I was once a consumer and I remember getting those, I always liked seeing what they could offer and what the promotions were. A lot of other carriers commissions are worse than this and if you really hate the commission structre so much why dont you get a new job.. Because they are probably only gonna go down from here....
