Would you use this if BB added this to the Desktop Manager?

I text a lot on my BB and I've been sending and receiving around 20K in texts a month lately, and my thumbs are really crapping up. Since I am at my laptop a lot, what if BB added onto the desktop manager where you could access your SMS inbox just like it was on your phone and send and receive SMS on your laptop when it is hooked up. Kind of like the Motorola Phone Tools software where you can access your phone through your computer. Who would actually use this? Input would be appreciated. Oh and in case you were wondering, I already crapped out one curves keyboard

I definitely would

I definitely would, especially if it had AutoText. I don't know how many times I have been typing away on my PC/Laptop and forget that it doesn't automatically capitalize and punctuate for me.

I also send a lot of texts (a lot when I am at my work computer) and would definantely benefit from an addition like this.

would use this for sure

Great idea, I would use it. It would be great if you can respond to emails you get on your BB as well. I know I sometimes count on my BlackBerry to notify me of a new email rather than inbox when I am at work and home. If there was a dedicated text box that popped up if you wanted to respond to an email when it comes in your BlackBerry that would be a great idea as well.

Either way very good idea and would be useful.

Nope -- I don't SMS. I'm a heavy emailer and I PIN a lot.

FYI, RIM is the company -- BB is the product.

Email bbsuggestions@rim.com.

who is your blackberry through? if its verizon, then they have a tool through their website where you can text whoever you want and receive replies to your device and/or the website. i used to use it at work all the time. not sure if at&t has something like this but its a good possibility.

Nope. I think it would be worthless.

I would use it. It would be the end to my limited workplace productivity as it is though lol

My record text amt is 1000 in a month so I really don't think I'd use it

I send around 35k a month and up. I don't have a problem with my thumbs but this seems rather interesting. I have my phone hooked up to my computer a lot so it would actually be a useful tool.

I'd use it .

You realize you can text from any pc by going to your carrier's website?

Yes, I'd use it.

And a lot of the times (in Canada) it costs the receiver $0.15/message to receive from a website...

I don't text much so no I can't say I'd use it.

Yes. That would be a great feature. I had it on Motorola Razr with Motorola Phone Tools and it was great.

??? really...

Rogers it doesn't. Free Internet to phone TMs, always has been as far as I can remember. Nice if you are in the office and need to text someone, heck even have two way texting via PC.....

I'd use it. I have no idea how many times I text a month, but it'd be useful since I'm at a computer all day.

Yeah it would be great!
