Is there anyone in the GTA that can help me with my iPhone? I've tried anySIM 1.1 and SimFree and I can't get it unlocked for the life of me.
I hope there's someone out there! Hopefully today (Monday, November 5, 2007)!

Where in the GTA are you located? and are you using rogers or fido?

Thanks for the response!
I'm at Runnymede and Bloor West. I can meet up anywhere near a subway station. And I'm using Rogers.

What version is on your iphone?
Also what happens when you put in your rogers card?
I am at Islington and the 401

It started as a 1.0.2, unlocking method unknown (though I believe it was iUnlock)
I followed these steps: http://360patches.com/virginize.html - to go to 1.1.1 but when I run anySIM it says it cannot unlock my phone.
With the SIM card I get signal with the ROGERS sign in the upper-left but can't make/receive calls.
Not sure if this matters but, while the phone shows as 1.1.1 in the phone and in iTunes, iBrickr works just fine and doesn't give me the iBrickr message of not being compatible with 1.1.1 and asking to downgrade. iBrickr works as normal?

I would downgrade to 1.0.2 and redo everything again. Everything you need is here in howard forums. No need to go elsewhere. I would try it again. I am using 1.0.2 firmware and everything works fine.

Ok, I've done the following:
Downgraded to 1.0.2 using iBrickr,
Activated and jailbroke using AppTapp and Pacay
Installed BSD Subsystm and Term-vt100
Questin: Now Step 6 of this tutorial (http://www.360patches.com/downgrade.html) says to install anySIM 1.02 and 1.02 Baseband Restore Version 1.03 but I can't find these anywhere in Installer.
Where do I get these?
EDIT: PS, thanks to the person who PM'ed me offering to help me remotely (unnamed as I don't know if they want to be identified). I will definitely take you up on it if I fail...again.
