connecting Motorola to laptop

having trouble connecting my motorola V3 GSM to my Gateway laptop via usb cable, any ideas? i have been trouble shooting this for awhile and nothing works...

what steps did you take. So we can advise you where the problem is. Also tell us which version of windows, you are using.

i have windows vista...i tried downloading a driver for vista that would updates MPT but i dont know, didnt seem to work still says that it cant find my phone when i plug it in...

did you disable vistas User Access control (UAC) before trying to install the driver MPT. What version of MPT are you using.
