network trouble after debranding w580i

I got an incredibly rad w580i, but I wanted to be able to set any MP3 as the ringtone without chopping it down to size so I debranded it using wotanserver. I put R6BC002 america_1 on it.

It seemed to work fine at first, then after a few hours I tried to send a text, it failed, I couldn't make or receive calls, although the phone still showed AT&T at the top. I turned my phone off and on and it worked again. The next morning instead of AT&T it showed unable to connect to network. I restarted again and it was fine. It always loses connection after a random period of time, anyone experienced this or have any ideas on what's wrong?

go to the SE website or ATT website under support and have the correct sms and net settings sent to your phone.

I did that, when I lose connection to the network I'm not able to receive or make calls either, the sms and net info wouldn't address that would it?

No it wouldn't. I do occasionally get the same problem you describe, but after a while, I get back my signal. It can get annoying when you really need to make a call though... I normally go into the mobile network select somewhere in the settings menu (under connectivity) and let it search for available networks.

I'm planning to flash my girl's Cingular W810i, but I hope it doesn't produce the same results...
