I currently have the t-mob total internet plan ($19.99), and the 1000 TxT ($9.99) plan + my calling plan that is $40...I wanted to know if i changed my plan to the sidekick unlimted plan ($20) which gives me unlimited net and txt that i had on my Wing & Dash b4 they cut off the proxy....would this still work cuz im tired of payin $75 a month

IDK. T-mobile doesn't have one with both? I heard that it doesn't work by people here, but as I don't have T-Mobile I wouldn't know specifically.

You could get the Tzones instead of total internet from Tmobile which is $6.

i heard the new sidekick lx uses the EDGE network now. Has anyone tried using the new sidekick plan with their Iphone?

The reason I am asking is because with the sidekick plan, you get unlimited text messages and if the new sidekick plan works, you should be able to get unlimited text messages for your iphone...

Sidekicks access proprietary proxy servers for their data access. The EDGE network only relates to the speed of the connection, not what kind of data services are available.

The short of it is, unless Danger changes the Sidekick to work with a normal "smartphone" plan in the future, there's no way the Sidekick plan's data feature will ever work with anything except a Sidekick.

In the past, T-Mobile did have some configuration issues with their network and it was possible to access data services you weren't paying for. It was even possible for a short while to tether on prepaid. Those days are gone.
