Gmail account issue

Hello all, I setup my GMAIL account to be a pop server so I can access it via my tilt, every week or so all of the emails that I have gotten over the past few days gets suddenly marked as new and unread on my tilt. I have no idea why, can any of you help?

I had that happen this morning. I thought it was a fluke!
