Hey guys,

I'm sitting here at work reading up on 1.1.2 - D-DAY (figuratively, of course) that is coming up. I will be upgrading to the new firmware and attempting to crack it via the various ways that are available. Anyhow, I wanted to prepare, so I'm looking for the actual binaries for the 1.1.1 firmware just in case I need to restore (which is more than likely) a few times.

I've sen 1.0.1, and 1.0.2 around, but haven't been able to find one for 1.1.1 yet. Anyone know of a link?

Cheers,

L.

maybe check Apple.com come the actual release of 1.1.2?
I'm sure they'll have 1.1.1 firmware during that time

If your looking for the download of firmware 1.1.1 you can find it here at the bottom of the first post of this guide: http://howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1253005

Cheers,

Excatly what I was looking for!

Next time please do alittle research around the stickys or on the wiki page to find your answer.

Why on God's earth would I even look in a thread that is labled '1.0.2' to find a 1.1.1 firmware download? The only reason you knew it was there is 'cause you posted it.

Try doing a search for 'Firmware 1.1.1 download' and see what comes up. If a simple 'thanks' or acknolegement won't do for wasting your precious 15 seconds, next time, please don't even bother.

Thanks.

I can attest to the fact that finding a version of the 1.1.1 firmware was pretty hard. I spent half a hour searching yesterday.

Drakkhen- Lose the ****ing attitude.

He supplied you with the link, get over it.

Posted by: Drakkhen

There is absolutely no "****ing attitude" on my part. I am merely pointing out that if he is helping me for sake of helping me, thanks and acknowlegement of the info he provided me would be far more than enough.

Instead, it seems like I did him a grave dis-service by asking this question and wasting this time because I didn't bother going through the entire site to find a link of a file that really has nothing to do with the subject heading that the link was actually in. If he needs to point that out and somehow justify it, then he's helping me for the wrong reason. I would've happily settled for the first response and waited a few days.

Oh, and if you don't want attitude, using "****ing" as a description referring to anyone is probably not the wisest move. People could take it the wrong way (or the right way; whatever you so choose) and interpret it as you wanting to pick a fight in a thread that really is none of your - shall I say "****ing" business unless you were looking for the specific link Geek.dll provided me (thanks again, Geek.dll!). So next time let's refrain from these animated descriptions and everyone will get along.

Geek is a good guy - but sometimes, he's just too busy helping lots of people to realize that maybe he's not being as sensitive to certain types of questions - he probably gets PM'd up the ying-yang about the same questions all the time. I'm just reminding him that this particulary question is not as easily 'searched' for as some others unless 1) you are him, or 2) have read that particular post before. If he doesn't like my attitude, I'm sure he could PM me or post something about it himself without you having to stick your nose in here. So thanks for the ****ing advice, but no thanks - and let's keep it light on the colour commentary.

Not to mention there's a half a page of stickies.

Alright this argument is useless, we are all here for the same reasons... to hack our lovely iphones....

Cheers to that, mate!

@Drakkhen

You got my reply all wrong. I just what people to a little research before they ask. It doest hurt to try. I'm willing to help anyone but first you have to want to help yourself I cant do it for you guys. Please don't take this personal.

Also me and ranova are on IRC in sever irc.efnet.org channel #iPhone if you need any help.

Sounds good - It wasn't anything personal, as I'm sure helping people you hardly know is usually a thankless job - I'm finding that out myself lately.

Cheers,

L.

Not only that but I can tell when people are making money off my help to unlock iPhone for money. So I stop helping them since I dont gain anything and there are guides up for them to follow. Lately most of the developers are just working on the 1.1.1 apps.

Well, it's a bit different for me - I'm just bored at work and hacking iPhones seem to pass the time well for me - It gets boring hacking my own phone over and over again . Might as well put my knowledge to good use.
