Used jailbreakme.com, but iNdependence still says jailed!

Can anyone tell me if they have safely used iNdependence to jailbreak after using jailbreakme.com and anySIM 1.1?
I thought jailbreakme.com jailbroke the iPhone, but iNdependence is still showing it as jailed.

I belive its because jailbrakeme.com patches the Tiff exploit even dough it leaves it jailbroken. Also iNdependence works along side with iTunes to jailbreak the iPhone.

um, was my post invisible? 
independance and other programs (i.e. ifantanstic, iphuc, etc) wont work after jailbreakme.com until you do what i linked above. these programs use the AFC service to read and write to the phone and jailbreakme.com does not activate AFC for / (the root directory of the phone). once you edit that one file, everything works fine.

The link you sent said it was for Windows. I went there and tried to parse it for something relevant to my situation, but I didn't see it. I thought maybe you misunderstood my question.

SSH is fine, but iNdependence makes it so much easier.

appsnapp recommends a fresh restore just prior to starting the process, of activating and jailbreaking. If you previously used iphonesimfree (or rumor has is anysim 1.1) then you do not need to re unlock, it survives the restore

the AFC2 is the relavent part of the first link.
Regardless, just download that file from the second link, put it in the said directory and restart the phone. Done.
