Hi. My family plan will expire in a few months. I really want the iphone, but I was wondering if i have to use their plans. Here's the scoop:

We have been going to this local phone shop for the past several years. Somehow, the plan is set up that either we get 750 minutes compared to the regular 700 minutes for the same price, or, we get a lower price. I don't know what he does, but I get lower priced plans that the att website.

Anyways, if I buy the phone separate, can i continue this type of "plan" by just adding the $20/month data package or do I lose the "deal" price?

The only thing that you would lose is your current data plan + any corporate discounts on your account, everything else should stay the same.
