I posted this in the AT&T forum, but later realized maybe I should have posted it in here. The original post: http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...65#post10175765
I bought a Tilt a month ago, and either then, or when the old DST was suppose to take effect, my text messages started showing a received time of one hour earlier than when they actually arrived.
I spent 3 hours on the phone with AT&T yesterday, they could not remedy the situation. They sent me out a new Tilt under warranty, and guess what, same problem. Original shipping rom, no additional software installed on it or anything.
The phone's time is correct, the time zone is correct, turning on or off Automatic time update does not have any impact. Applying the DST fix for Windows Mobile 6 has no impact.
I even went down to the store and got a new sim card.
I tried my sim in a Sony Ericsson and the time received dates were correct in that phone but not in either of the two Tilts that are sitting in front of me now.
So I'm baffled, and I'm not getting anything from AT&T on how to fix this, so can anyone think of what the issue is?
My timezone is MST (GMT-7) if it helps. I live in Salt Lake City, and we observe DST here.
Oh and it gets stranger still.
MMS messages show the correct received time, regular texts are showing received one hour prior to when they were actually received.

Once you post a message in the wrong forum, leave it there if it is too late to delete or someone has already responded to it. The moderators will move the messge if necessary. That way all the reponses will be in the same thread.

Not roaming as far as I can tell. Says AT&T on the phone page.

Any triangle at the top? IDK i had the same issue when i stopped roaming i was back to normal. You may want to try and hard reset the phone or just return it.

I've had that issue on my 8525 ever since the time change a few weeks ago. I am in Boston, not roaming.

Force your phone into GSM/EDGE band, I bet your text messages will be correctly stamped then. Then call AT&T a complain that their 3G network isn't stamping text messages correctly while the GSM network is.
