Connecting Moto V3c to pc Impossible

Hi i just recently bought a new motorola razr v3c and i wanted to hook it up to my laptop to get free games but when i did so using the pk commander program it just said "invalid name fail" or somthing even after all the drivers were installed correctly but i also have the motorola phone tools program but i cant figure out how to hook my phone up too it 
oh i am on telus mobility canada if that is any importance
