I was going to follow the instructions on the http://iphone.ranova.org/index.shtml site, but I have a question regarding my situation. I want to upgrade from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1 and jailbreak. I'm currently with AT&T but not on an iPhone plan. Once I upgrade, is there still a way to bypass activation?

Yes you can activate you iphone without ATT you will need to virginize your iPhone first before you update to 1.1.1 if its unlocked. Use this guide to virginize its really easy. http://wiki.howardforums.com/index....our_Baseband_v3
After you virginize and update to 1.1.1 then you can follow the guide in my signature. To activate your iphone

My phone is not currently unlocked, so does that make a difference?
