I've heard different things from people regarding the cause of the "usage will be reset after iPhone is fully charged" crap.

Some said it was because of Summerboard and Customize. I went through a few charges and came to the conclusion that ANY 3rd party app being opened causes the stats to reset (Except for Installer).

If you already knew this...why didn't you tell me?

It'd be nice to see a 3rd party app that'd keep the stats accurate!

Not that anyone care(s/d), but I was wrong about "ANY" 3rd party app.

In addition to Installer, I've noticed that Mobile Finder does not reset usage. I'm sure there are more, but I know for a fact anything by Sean Heber will reset your stats instantly lol..

this must be only on 1.1.1 and above since in 1.0.2 the stats were accurate until you modified something or installed something (customize, summerboard, apps) not just running an app was enough to upset the stats

I'm running 1.1.1 and get the same usage reset, but only after the springboard resets. So...anytime I install an app from Installer, or make a change in Customize or Summerboard it will reset my usage. I have found that after I install an app if I turn the phone off before exiting installer, than turn it back on and restart the springboard that way my usage is saved.

Well, over here on 1.1.1 the thing resets if you look at a 3rd party app the wrong way.

I do the samething. Install a 3rd party APP and before hitting the HOME button I fully turn off the phone and restart. Usage stays intact

3rd party apps sure have an effect on this. Installing new apps seems to reset the usage.

for example just right now i checked my usage and my mail. Then i went to Ideletemail (3rd party app) and delete all my mail. Went back to usage and it was set to 0.

I wish there was a fix for this, but since not all apps reset the counter i am assuming this is more an error on the app designer then the phone it self.
