i returned the iphone and got the bb curve 8810 instead. i think i may end up liking it more than the iphone.

i have 2 questions regarding the curve.

1. what is the difference between putting the curve on standby by pushing the button at the top and locking the phone by selecting the lock icon on home screen? it seems they both kind of do the same thing.

2. how do i quickly put the phone on vibrate or silent? i tried assigning one of the side buttons to a vibrate profile but the only profile that i could select was normal.
