As many of you have probably noticed, the camera on the 8925/Tilt is very choppy - even with ample lighting (or at least from what I've noticed). Anybody have any software tweaks or remedy to this problem?

I know that I shouldn't be expecting camcorder-like quality, but it's very annoying when I capture some spur of the moment videos and later on put it on my computer or watch it again on my device and it's almost unbearable to watch.

Thanks for you help!

Wirelessly posted (HTC 8900 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 6.12))

i dont think the tilts camera is bad ive taken some ok shots, have really played with video yet, have you tried playing with the settings

it has something to do with the focus.

get a stand alone camera, it'll make you sleep better at night.

do not rely on the cheaply made in phone camera that you have.

Yeah, this is one of the worst phone cameras I've had, especially for its supposed advanced specs. But I find I've gotten better at it with practice. I had a lot of trouble pushing the button all the way in without shaking it too much. Now at least I can take pictures that aren't completely blurry. But I think they wasted development on high MP and auto-focus, when it actually takes worse pics than some plain vanilla 1.3MP phone cameras I've had.

Peopel overeact to this, it's not that bad of a camera. I bet with a little practice, accuracy, and precision, it'll take some nice photos.

I've taken some pretty cool panoramic shots with it. Granted they're not perfect but these were done real quick:

just cant shoot it

Well even if it had a flash, as you 8125/8525 have seen, it's pretty worthless. Only good thing is that you can use it as a flashlight. Obviously if there's not light, it's not gonna be the best.

Once I can take decent pics when I eat at Hooters, it'll be fine with me!

Okay, finally got the use the camera. The issue is holding a steady hand. It would be great to mount it to a tripod!!

Adjust the white balance, that helps tons. The pics I have taken in lower to med to tons of light have been good.

Low or very low light, forget about it.

I have a lot of issues with my Tilt camera. I think it is a common problem for all the HTC phones. You will need to adjust the white balance to +1.5 or even +2.0 to take a normal picture, otherwise the picture will turn blue.

If you are interested, here I found a review for the Tilt camera.
