i have noticed that when i type really fast on my tilt, it has problems keeping up with me... is there anyway to increase the repeat speed for the kayboard?

try turning off the word suggestor, from what i understand that should speed it up

I have mine turned off ,and I noticed its still slow , and if i type a word with 2 of the same consecutive letter like "letter" with two t's it will only type one of them...annoys the crap out of me.

Try changing your settings -> buttons repeat delay to a low value.

thanks a lot but for the way that they keyboard is made i dont think that i can keep up with a fast typer sometimes i would still need to go back to correct certain things... but then again its probly just be getting use to something new

scratch that its still pretty slow. I wonder if this is something the maker of kaiser tweak can edit in.

Wow, can you really type that fast on the little keyboard? I find it faster to use the onscreen keyboard.

But I got big fingers so that may be my prob. too!

I think it might be the ROM. Considering it's the first ROM HTC has released for it. My other HTCs don't have this issue, except the WM6 for my S620 which noticeably slowed the typing response. The same WM5 ROM for my S620 was much faster at typing -- essentially instant.

Since I have long nails, typing on the touch screen keyboard is a breeze for me. Once I get my nails short again, the keyboard (sliding) should be no problem either.

that little onscreen keyboard bites. of course i have big ole hands. there is a keyboard SPB full screen i think that works well. but the bad part is it takes up the full screen and you can't see much of what you are typing. man i hate to say it i kinda miss my iphone onscreen keyboard.

how does the SPB on screen keyboard react... if there a delay every time you type?

not really a bad delay, it's just slower than typing on a keypad. also, you can't see much of what you type bc the keyboard takes up the whole screen.
