SIM Swap on 8125 and WM5/6

Does anyone know if swapping SIMs on this phone, or non official ROMS results in the clearing of certain things like texts? I'd like to be able to swap in a dif SIM without loosing anything. I know regular phones tend to do it, but WM is a different beast.
