Text Message to Multiple Contacts

Using the Q9h / Windows Mobile 6, is there a way to set up sending a text message to everyone in a specific group of your contacts, rather than adding them all 1 by 1? I would like to send a text msg to about 30 people all from the same category, more than once a week, and it takes to long to individually add them in the TO: section each and every time. Hope this is possible? Thanks in advance if you can supply the solution to this.

There is a free app, can't remember the name (CCMASS something or other) that allows you to build a mass distro list. Not sure where to find it or if it works on WM6 but if you search you may find.

The solution = GroupSMS

I found this CAB file program while searching for the same thing and it's perfect. It does exactly what you're looking for. I've been using it for the past week and it works great!

We use GroupSMS for work. Works excellent.

I'm not sure if it's a flaw in the GroupSMS program but for some reason it doesn't like my last entry in the contacts. It works great but for some reason when I go send a GroupSMS and choose to "Show all contacts" it leaves out the last one, in my case it's Yvonnne (since it's sorted alphabetically, the last entry in my contact list is Yvonne).

Can anyone confirm if it leaves out the last entry in your contacts?

I have the Moto Q9h Global.

If it is a flaw, Just create a phony contact and Name it ZZZZZ.

Just curious, does yvonne have a mobile number? Contacts might only show in an mms list if they have a mobile phone number listed

hey, i checked that, all my contacts in my q have mobile numbers

LOL, it worked! So it is some kind of little flaw. I entered a new phony contact, Zebra, and now GroupSMS shows my Yvonne contact but doesn't show my Zebra contact.

So there it is, it doesn't include your last contact entry.
