Ha, I was thinking about this last night, but in regards to the number showing up on the springboard. I just restarted the phone and got over it.

i just looked at that top post that i did and saw it was full of type-o's. i wrote it and can't even understand it

well what it was supposed to ask was how to get rid of that #2 on the update icon without updating. and i aslo was wondering if anyone knows what the update for NES is? i searched and couldn't find anything.

I believe the only way to get rid of it, is to actually do the update? any reason why you don't want to do so?

since it's working now, updates scare me, you know what they say, if it aint broke, don't fix it

I didn't want to update, since I could've sworn the new SB version was something with 1.2 in it...but that has changed since yesterday.

It works fine, update it.

NES...well, that thing is always buggy, so it can only get so much worse.

I stand corrected...I'm trying to do the update, and so far it's failed to download twice now. First time it got stuck at around 30% and threw an error, I restarted the download/update, and now it's stuck at around 98% downloading package.

Known problems today with installer being very slow. It's not just you.

well, that's good to know. I'll wait a day or two to grab the update.

It will be gone after every restart.........until you open Installer again haha

Actually I managed to get the update to Summerboard, installed fine. Also, there is an update to Customize (1.15), which looks like it now supports 1.1.2, and you can set what version you have in options. however, I think there's a bug in the display, since it used to be broken into sections with one saying "hidden" but now all I see is "Springboard", and where the other sections were it's just a blank line. I'm still able to reorganize the icons and hide them tho.

And now there's version 1.17...

How are you hiding icons?

Even if I can't hide them, I guess it's not big deal.

There's a post about hiding icons, and I put the details in there. XLauncher works great.

BUT, I have a problem and need immediate help! PLEASE!

The SB update allows it to be installed on 1.1.2, thats all. (The prior version excluded 1.1.2)

The Customize update adds the ability to rearrange the icons on the extended springboard, and to choose which firmware you're using

You can use them with no worries on 1.1.1 or 1.1.2

Most updates have info in them that will tell you if they're safe or not for whichever version. A little reading goes a long way.
