Help...Internal error 257

Does anyone have any experience with what "Internal Error 257" might mean.

My P800 was working fine all day. I then decided to synch all my outlook contacts to the phone. Overall a smooth process, even though the different data fields didn't map that well. (And the lack of categories, which we all anguish over).

Well, later on during the day, I'm on the road trying to use wap. No go, first it just hangs indefinitely, then I start getting the "internal error 257" message. Later on, I tried to make some phone calls and the phone simply kept freezing up and emitting a buzzing tone.

I cycled the power, no help.
I removed the battery, which seemed to bring back the ability to make a basic phone call, but no internet/wap/data services still.

I guess the last step is to reformat the drive and reload everything. I can't do that until I get in the office, so my $$$ phone is just an expensive paperweight right now.

Has anyone ever gotten the "257" error message before?

thanks

UPDATE:

Morning after, and for some strange reason, the phone seems to be behaving for the most part. I tried GPRS/wap, and was able to get it to work for the most part. Problems I'm having now can be attributed to poor signal strength in my office (never work in a building with a copper roof).

I did notice some new behavior. Earlier on the GPRS indicator (blue triangle) kept dropping out on me even though I was getting a sufficiently strong cell signal. It was quite persistent. I'm almost hoping it's a TMobile problem, and not something with my phone.

So is my phone jinxed?
