Hello

I am getting an iphone and have AT&T and i don't want to renew my contract or pay the data plan so i was wondering what can i do to avoid the Itunes activation but still let me put music on it as well as videos?

Geez, I can tell you that prior to buying my iPhone this past weekend, I did a lot of searching and reading, and this was covered in hundreds if not thousands of threads.

You need to JailBreak the phone, which is step 1 in unlocking it.

If you read the original post, he has an AT&T sim, which does not require the iPhone to be unlocked as you can just by-pass activation.

Are you using a Mac or PC?

i am using a pc and i read that you need a 3G sim, is that right becuase i only a 64K smart chip.
