All,

I am not sure of the date we need to look for on the box relative to the week in the Serial, but I received the following paragraph from the good people at Wireless Imports.

If anyone knows the last safe week, please post for everyone.

*** Update *** We have now tested one out of the box fresh from the Apple store. It appeared to have on it the 1.1.1 software which is unlockable by performing a downgrade to 1.0.2 since the unlocking without a computer will no longer work on the newer 1.1.1 handsets. Also we have come to the conclusion that for phones that say "Repair Needed" need to have been unlocked with iPhoneSimFree prior to performing the update to 1.1.2 to fix any errors. If the phone is still locked prior to upgrading to 1.1.2 then your phone will continue to remain unlocked. At this time we do not have any further information on how to unlock 1.1.2 but will post the information as it becomes available to us.

Thanks

Ok I had success unlocking my Iphone before but today after 4 tries I still cant get the anysim to show up. Before I was able to install BSD Subsystem and then put in this website http://iphone.blurgle.ca/repo and anysim would show up but now it is not. What am I doing wrong?

Try This
add this source on your Installer: http://i.unlock.no

and then Manually Install through Anysim thru Installer Under Unlocking Tools

I thought the TIFF exploit was for jailbreaking only.
I don't see any problems unlocking; anySIM 1.1 has worked every single time.
One weird thing though: jailbreakme.com sometimes does not patch YouTube correctly.
When I get the springboard, YouTube may or may not work (shows cannot connect to YouTube)
If it doesn't work, it doesn't work even I SSH in and overwrite those 3 files, and I have to restored it to factory 1.1.1 via iTunes.
Then jailbreakme.com again and it will work. Weird.

Regarding YouTube: Simple
What usually happens is the date is set differently and you need to change the date.

When the date is August 15, 2030, it really screws up YouTube in terms of how it operates and throws it out of sync haha

I will play attention to the date next time I see non-working YouTube out from jailbreakme.com
Thanks!

Make sure you take it out from Set Automatically and set the date and time yourself.

and NO PROBLEM!
