trying to restore my iphone to 1.1.1 and when i try doing it on itunes 7.5 it gives me the error 1

What firmware version do you have on the iPhone now or before tryin the restore?

it was a virgin 1.1.1

just said can't restore the iphone..error 1..now i am able to restore to 1.0.2 but i can't upgrade to 1.1.1 using independence

Make sure you have itunes version 7.4 or higher to restore with 1.1.1.
