I am trying to unlock a brand new iphone. The last one I did I used itunes version 7.3 to activate the phone. Now it's saying I must upgrade itunes to 7.4 or higher. Will I still be able to use the shift key if I upgrade itunes and will I still be able to unlock the phone?

I tried this and it doesn't work. My iphone says "Activate iPhone" please help.

I've used UnLockThatIPhone.com (their free method, follow the instructions on-screen) several times successfully.

Did you even check which firmware you had????

http://iphone.unlock.no/ - go there, its the easiest way I've seen/used to unlock 1.1.1
