is there a way to bypass the slide lock?

im definetly not the kind of person to accidentally mash buttons on my phones. is there a way to just have the home button unlock the phone, and forgo the slide?
thoughts?

do I hear a challenge for hacker? I would also like a way for this feature. it would be nice to just press in the home button and have the phone be unlocked
