Is anone using apps that can block calls not in my contact list? I have the centro from sprint. A free app would be best but any will do.

There is an app called callblock that supports that feature as well as a host of others. But it's $15. If you can find a free version, let me know.

I use call filter on my 680 that allows me to tell my phone to ignore any call that is not in my contacts list. And as far as I know its free.

With call filter, can you block all calls or only ones that's not in your contacts list. Also, are the missed calls shown in your call log?

With call filter I can block all calls with no caller id, I can also block specific numbers I tell it to block, or block numbers that are not in my contacts list.

I can also set rules for the phone to completely ignore the call - meaning none of those calls will show up under my missed calls log, or I can have the phone send the call straight to voice mail, or choose to have the phone pick up the line then hang up on them.

Unfortunatley I cant find a free version. Can you send it to me?

CallFilter is not free (at least the current version of it). I tried it out for awhile and it caused some problems with some of my other programs so I never purchased it. It has a host of great features but caused some conflicts with some of the programs that I had on my Treo 650 so I decided not to purchase it (and all I really wanted was an MP3 ringtone player when I first installed it).

ok so I am using callfilter on my Centro and have a rule to test. The number is for my work and I have it set to answer and hang up. But the call still comes through and rings like normal and then goes to voicemail like normal. The rule is active all days and 1200am to 1159 pm. Does this app not work for centro?

Not sure whether it works on the Centro or not. However, my suggestion for you to troubleshoot this problem is to activate the logging feature of CallFilter and see whether the program registers an error when the call is received.

In regards to activating the logs, I don't remember the steps to do it and since I uninstalled it from my Treo 650 because of a conflict between another program, I can't walk you through the steps to activate the logging feature (but it should be pretty straight forward).

yes it registered as answered and hung up but it didnt. It went to voicemail - I know because I was on the calling line and left a message.

You can find them from most Palm software sites (MyTreo, Palmgear now PocketGear, etc.)

wow i just downloaded it....it really works great! no more stalker ex-boyfriend!!!!!!!

Posted by: cb1982

Thats exactly why I downloaded it myself I was getting hundreds of messages a day from an annoying ex. I got it from Mytreo.net. I've been using the shareware version on my 680 and its run flawlessly since June. The shareware version just limits the amount of rules and features you're allowed to set before having to buy it. I would try reinstalling the program if it isn't working or maybe its just not the right program for the centro?

i went to add a number and it says "Your Trial has expired. To Continue using this function, please consider purchasing copy of this software." But I did purchase it. I just checked my checking account to make sure I'm not confused? It was $14.95. Anyone else having this problem and what should I do now?

It might help if you mentioned which application because there are a few applications that were mentioned in this thread.

However, my suggestion is that you try to re-register with your existing registration code. It has been my experience that after some resets, some programs seem to "forget" that they are registered. If this isn't possible or doesn't work, you should contact the programmer and then if it still doesn't work or he/she doesn't get back to you, contact the site that you purchased it from. I know that when I purchased some of my Palm software from the old PalmGear site, refunds were possible (based on the reason and based on the particular software). You might need records that you weren't able to solve your problem with the programmer (at least they required it from me when I got a refund for a weather program on my old Treo).

Well I got the situation fixed just by contacting customer service from the website. But now I have a new problem. The stalker is now just blocking his number by dialing *67. So this defeats the purpose of why I got Call Block. I've called Sprint and they said they can not block blocked caller id's from calling me. Is there any program I could download that would allow me to block blocked caller id's or unknown numbers?
