Problems with screen visibility when outside

Are other P800 owners having extreme problems reading the screen whenever they are outside or under natural light. Inside, I have no problem with the screen (although sometimes I wish it could be slightly brighter). However, when I'm outside, whether in my car or out walking, the screen is near impossible to see.

I'm a long-time user of pda's, so I understand the problems with these small color screens and bright light outside, but this is the worse I've ever seen. The screen of my clie T615 is much easier to read.

Is this something that can be improved? Or is it simply a trade-off, a cool phone with lots of features, you just can't see it outside?

Thanks

I've heard tell that applying a Brando screen protector helps with this somewhat. It's a trade-off since the Brando will apply a bit of a matte fiinish to the screen which *might* cut down slightly on brightness under indoor lighting. Might be worth trying it out, though.

Actually, I already have a Brando installed, but thanks for the suggestion.

Are other people having the same problem in seeing the screen when using the P800 outside? I just want to check and make sure this is a general deficiency of the P800, and not an isolated problem.

Thanks
