Im a noob 2 easy questions about 8525

first question: I have 177 songs on my 2 gig memory card but i have to repeatedly put the memory card in the phone for the phone to recognize the memory card then all of a sudden the phone does not show the memory card is in the phone anymore. any suggestions.(all my music is in mp3 or aac format)

second question: i cant seem to find a way to put ringtones i made as text or other notifications. All i see is the ringers thats in the phone.

ANY and all help will be appreciated.

file explore the ringtones or song either onto the phone memory or on the memory card but not in a folder

thanks, i tried putting two mp3 in the root folder of the memory card and i can only use them as ringtones not for notifications or text.

second question if i use a picture id for a caller does the picture id pop up when i get text message too or is it just for calls?

1. put the ringtones in the "windows" folder
2. some notifications (like alarms) have to be in wav not mp3 format.
3. No, ID only pops up for calls.

When i get a text on my 8525 a pic shows up in the corner for the caller id. assuming its in ur phonebook.

The notification will not have the senders photo id, but the actual text message header will when you open it up.
