i have a sidekick 3. i live in texas. i just got me another sidekick through insurance because my last phone messed up. i am having so many problems i dont know if its tmobile or the sidekick. the two codes i get are" wireless services not available code:net9" and " you must insert a sim card to place a non emergency phone calls.code sim1:"

i do have a sim in there and my account is active. what is going on. please help me. i dont know if i should switch phones or phone companies.

First of all, is the SIM Card dirty? try cleaning off the contacts, is the sim card OLD? Anything 16K should not be used anymore so upgrade it to the 32k or higher. Also try your SIM card in another phone or try another persons SIM card into your Danger Hiptop and see if it gives you the same problems. If it does not read someone elses SIM card then you know for sure the Device is Defective and you should send it in to a service centre or have it replaced by your carriers defective device wireless exchange policy.

i think its a sim card problem. i had the same issue.. but not to your extent with switching phones. i had a old sim card since ive been with tmobile forever. just take it to the tmobile store and ask for a new sim , but tell them the problem first. worked out for me.
