Hey guys,

Have any of you had problems jailbreaking 1.1.1 recently, or is it just me? The unit I have right now goes through the hoops; using jailbreak.toc2rta.com, it hits the site, and safari closes. Everything seems good right?

Carnaval reports that the phone is NOT jailbroken properly, and cannot continue.

Using Jailbreakme.com, the phone will close safari to the activation page, and just sit there - this is from a completely 100% virgin 1.1.1 phone.

No need to use jailbreak.toc2rta.com/Carnaval anymore.
Just use jailbreakme.com.
After you see the activation screen it takes a minute or two for the phone to shutdown itself and reboot.
If you encountered anything, just use iTunes to restore to original 1.1.1 and start again.

Thanks for the advice, but that's what I've been doing - the phone does not respond with either Carnaval OR Jailbreakme.com - I've restored to 1.1.1 many times....

Going to try virginizing now, and come back up from 1.0.2 and see if that helps...

Also, I prefer Carnaval over Jailbreakme.com - mainly because post-unlock, the file structure is much cleaner - In jailbreakme.com, there's a bunch of empty folders and such that are left orphaned due to the process. I don't know if I can delete these, or if I have to keep them there...It's a bit messy in terms of elegance.

Both of these methods work - just not for me right now..HAHAH
