I got a buddy of my to unlock my phone for me and he said that he completed the YouTube & Wifi fix but I still keep getting the "Safari Cannot Open The Page because it can't find the server"

My iPhone is running on frmware 1.1.1.

Any suggestions....because it only gives me this error once I leave from home...at home I have no issues!!!

PLEASE HELP!!!

at home are you on wifi?
could be the area you are in doesnt get good edge reception? im not sure just throwing it out there but i get safari error alot when im outside but it always works if i move to a diff place

yeah, at home i'm on wifi and it works but if i leave outside then it doesn't work.....it detects the wifi networks but i keep getting the "safari can't open the page because it can't find the server" error

When you're out, which wifi access points are you connected to?

1) Just because the phone detects wifi does not mean it's connected, and it DOES NOT mean you will even be able to connect to it.

2) Many of these wifi sources the phone is detecting is probably locked down by a WPA / WEP Key, so random people like yourself can't use it to access the Internet.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'wifi fix', as there isn't a fix for this module of the phone - it always works. Again, I need to stress that just because your phone is 'hacked' and there is some kind of 'wifi fix' doesn't mean you can just leave your house and connect to any access point that your phone detects.

who are you useing for service? did you check your edge settings and make sure there correct?

My cell phone provider is Fido. I currently do not have Edge set up as for the time being, I would only like to use any open wifi connection. How do I enter values to make Edge work, but wouldn't be expensive. Thanks!
