As for retail a manager it depends... usually the store manager is on a salary and works harder than anyone else because ultimately they are responsible for what the store does, its not a cake job like it sounds like u have now.... the ASM's are paid hourly and work 40 hour work weeks but can work more again depending on the stores needs. If your asking about having new devices for yourself when ever you want, the answer is no. You have a COU phone like everyone else and to order new ones requires approval from the ARSM and their boss.

My RSM and ASM always use the newest phones. They just adjust it out from inventory as "demo's" for the store, but just use it for themselves. Kinda shady if you ask me.
