Question about restoring my iPhone

So I have an unlocked 1.1.1 iphone and I ran into some problems today. The phone basically keeps on reseting and I can't do anything with it. It all started after I deleted some stuff from installer. Anyway I want to restore it and re jailbreak it etc. I haven't connected the phone to my computer since 1.1.2 came out. Is this the best way to restore??
Connect phone to comp. hold **** and hit the restore button. select 1.1.1 and then let it do its thing?? after I have restored and gone to jailbreakme.com should I run onesim then anysim again???
I really don't want a 400 dollar paper weight, so anyhelp would be appreciated.

Hold home and sleep for ten seconds, let go of sleep while continuing to hold home.
iTunes should recognize iPhone in need of restore, just hold shift and click restore and choose 1.1.1 Firmware

Thanks mac. I will have to try this when I get home as I don't have wifi at the moment. I will let you know if I run into any problems.

I am trying to do the restore right now but when I hold shift and hit restore it opens up a file browser. What is the restore file called and where do I find it????

Ok I downloaded 1.1.1 and restored my phone and it seemed to have worked. I still don't have access to wifi yet so I haven't jailbreakme.com it yet, but should I run onesim before I reinstall anysim????

Check to see if you're phone is still unlocked after jailbreakme.com as they say the unlock remains after a restore. If not, then run OneSim and re-run AnySim once again. Let me know how it goes

Just jailbroke it and it worked like a charm. Anysim did survive the restore so no need to run onesim or anysim again. Thanks MacGeek for your help. I would have craped my pants if I had just turned my 400 dollar phone into a paperweight.
