How do I know if I'm actually connected to my WiFi instead of data from FIDO? I don't wanna use it, and then find out at the end of the month that this has all been data through FIDO. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Icon by the clock should tell you what you are connected to. Browse XDA forums, there are a few cabs about there that let you turn off GPRS so that you can use WiFi. WM devices some times override WiFi to connect to GPRS.
