iPhone bought @ apple.com last week. Firmware version?

I just have a quick question: I ordered an iPhone from Apple Online store @ www.apple.com on Nov 07, 2007 and they shipped it next day Nov 08, 2007.

I live in Panama so I bought it to unlock it and use it here in Panama. I place my order through a company that have a physical address in Miami, my iPhone got delivered there Nov 12, 2007 but still is in route to Panama from Miami.

My question is: what are the probabilites that I got an 1.1.1 version iPhone? What about the bootloader version? What should I except?

Any idea, comment or help will be really appreciated! Really needing your advice here.

Since you bought it on the 7th/8th odds are that phone is 1.1.1

You should be able to check the serial number from the Apple invoice, and find out the week of the phone - I ordered two phones on Nov. 9 and they're week 45, which from the sounds of it means I'm getting 1.1.2.

I also purhcase 3 week 45 iPhones from the apple online store and they have the new bootloader v4. ;( unlock for it is on the way

Is it really on the way? As in, you're so close you can taste it? I've read that the prognosis isn't good...

I'm considering driving the extra hour each way to try to convince someone at the Apple Store (I'm picking them up at a PO Box) to let me swap them for an older one...

Login at the Apple Store to look at your order, and then click the "Print Invoice" link - it will pop up an invoice with the serial number on it.

yup I have yet to have seen anyone get a week 45 phone with 1.1.1 on it.

No worries, odds are by the time you get your phone in Panama there will be an unlocking solution for it.

I hope so buddy... even when the more I read, the more I freak out because everybody is saying that it will be difficult to unlock for those of us that have 1.1.2 (bl 4.6) OTB...

It looks like it - I have yet to hear of a week 45 with anything but 1.1.2 + v4
