I was messing around with iswitchr and customize and I think I goofed up something. Now when typing, when the iPhone makes a word suggestion, instead of a small x next to the suggested word the graphic looks messed up. Also if I want to edit a word, hold down my finger to magnify that spot, it also is distorted and can't see anything but a garbled square graphic! Help!!

I think i've got a similar problem... i tried to change the Keypad artwork but it stopped and gave me a warning that I was running out of disk space... but now i dont have a keypad! its all black and i cant see where to type!... I already tried to switch it back to the Backup keypad.. but it gives me the same warning.. even though i still have like 1.8gb free.. does anyone know a solution?? or is restoring my only option!!?

I think your case might be that you have run out of user space to install things from installer. The previous version would show you a running count of how much free space you had left.

I don't think thats the problem because i
already freed" like 8mb and im still getting thesame warning
and that i should erase some videos or music.
Also why would more than 8mb be necesary to go back to the
Backup images?? Please somebody help!!!

Free space available to music / videos/ podcasts /etc. has nothing to do with the apps space used when you use Installer. Like I mentioned, the previous version of installer would show at the bottom a running count of how much 'user available' space you had left to install apps. Someone correct me here, but I believe it was a little over 100mb. Not sure.

Have you tried uninstalling some themes, or apps, and then trying the original thing you attempted? I'd uninstall themes you don't regularly switch to, or apps that aren't 100% necessary and then trying.

By restore are you talking about the iPhone restore that can be done through iTunes? Since my phone is unlocked, won't that mess it up? I'm slightly terrified of trying to upgrade my firmware, even though there are some great guides out there, so sticking to 1.0.2 for now.

Thats what i did, i erased some themes and image packs and uninstalled some programs but Im still getting the low disk space warning! Its interesting that this only happens when i try to change the keyboard image, everything else i customize works fine! But now i don't have a keyboard image, it's all black and I can't see what to type... Also i discovered that the lil' magnifier to select text position ( or wtvr) isnt working either! It just shows a scrambled square, no image.. Help please! I still want to avoid restoring!

Looks like we're in the same boat, but I still have use of my keyboard, just not the magnifying glass. Anybody want to show mercy and lead us back to the light?
