Installing tar.gz file?

I needed help trying to install a Customize tar.gz file on my iphone. I've been searching and I haven't had any luck. I’m sure that there are instructions on here for it. Can someone please point me in the right direction.

a file with 'tar.gz' is a tarred and gunzipped file.. it's basically a compressed file... not something you would 'install' in any OS. You'd need to unzip it first. I think WinZip might do it, but I'm sure WinRAR will.

Like Fray said, it is a compressed file. You need to open it with a program like winrar. Inside, I am guessing you will find a folder called something.app. Uncompress that folder.

Copy that folder with either iBrickr of WinSCP (For windows) to the /Applications folder on the iPhone. Set the permissions to 0755 for all of the files.

Restart the phone and you should see it.
