Anyone know a way to make an Apple Employee AT&T Discount work for 2 iphones?

Hey.

Bro works for apple and we are both switching from vzw to AT&T. After ordering both of our phones he learned that he gets a 14% employee discount. Is there any way that I can get put into the account that his phone is on so that the discount includes my plan too?

Most FAN discounts don't work period. I don't know about Apple, but I don't think it would apply. Unless you set your main line to a phone that is not an iPhone.

well it definitely works for all the employees at the store where he works, and they're not doing anything special, just using iphones. I'm just curious if there was a simple way to get the discount also.

For employees, it may be different, I don't know. As far as anyone else, the only thing I have heard is that your FAN discount or any type of discount can not be used on any line that is an iPhone. Good luck to you if you can get it to work.

I'll report back. Possibility that its just bad info.

My main question was how could I get in on the discount also? For example if neither of us had iphones and he was given an employee discount - is there a way we could share it ?

IF he CAN use it with an iPhone, he could add you to his plan, but I don't particularly know how they work that. Some companies only pay for one line with a discount or what-not, so I don't know. He could ask about adding someone to the plan and if you DO get the discount with the iPhone...but I am still thinking no. But let us know either way.

Step 1: I called AT&T, and according to them - no discount besides FAN would be given to Apple employees,and as mentioned many times on this forum, FAN gets kicked off of all iPhone accounts.

I will report back after I confirm with someone at the store - about their discounts being "FAN".

Step 2: Employee confirmation.

Here's the deal: It is called a "channel partner discount" and it works on iphone accounts. 14% off the service plan.
