BSE ripping off serial numbers while removing?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I just received my BSE for my iphone today and ive already installed the front part of it. I read on here either here, or another forum that someone removed their BSE and when they did, it took the serial numbers off the back of the iphone with it. Has anyone else here had this happen to them? im sitting here right now contemplating to put on the back or not. Thanks.

Ouch anyone else?

Your serial number is embedded into the phone's memory, it's no big deal if the serial number on the back of the phone is removed.

Thats not the problem, the problem is that the BSE could cause damage to otherwise pristine, 400 dollar iphone.

Make it a 3rd... However, it doesn't completely remove it, just fades it a bit. But, I was removing it due to the skin being damaged (so it did its job instead of the phone getting it).

does that not qualify as damage??

I don't really see it as a big problem
First of all, you purchase the BSE skin to protect from scratches and doesn't it do that?
They don't guarantee anything once the skin is applied rather than to protect your iPhone

took it off of two iPhones and the serial numbers are definitely still there and BSE was on both phones for months.

If I am not mistaken, the text on the back of the iPhone is laser engraved. And from what I can see, the engraved area's are filled with some sort of white inlay.

With that said, the inlay may be removed, but the serial number will still be there. It just might be more difficult to read.
