According to SE phone support

There are no firmware upgrades at all and no way to get them if there were. Nobody has been calling in with problems related to the firmware of the phone in the US and there are no plans for service centers other than Minnesota. They have no idea what version of firmware is on the phone; they don't even know there are different versions. This was according to technical support who the saleswoman patched in.
(I know this goes against everything we talk about in here; I'm just posting this in irony as what I was told when I called inquiring about how I'd get new firmware if I bought a P800 today.)
How can I feel comfortable buying this phone when I get answers like this from the manufacturer after reading discussions of various firmware all day long????
