V9 Security Menu Restric Calls

I am one of those people who makes use of the Security Menu with Motorola Phones.

If you haven't looked at this, it is at Settings --> Security --> Restrict Calls. What we do with this, most of us who use it, is to restrict Incoming Calls to the Address Book (Phone Book) when we are on certain jobs so that we are not bothered by people we do not know well while we are engaged in serious work.

Well, here's the problem.

Sometime over the past week, there has been a change with how AT&T handles the call when it sees that a call is going to bounce off your phone.

In previous times, when the call got to your phone and it was allowed by the security settings, the call would automatically go to voice mail, immediately.

Now, however, when the phone call gets to your phone and it is not allowed by the security settings, the person calling gets a recording saying that the call is not allowed from his location and there is no opportunity to leave a message.

Does anybody know what's up w/that and if there's anything I can do to change how a restricted call is handled?

I'd really hate for the majority of the people to assume that I don't ever want to talk to them.
