ok I think I am having a senior moment or a blonde moment what ever you want to call it, for me to send an sms on my TyTN II I have to click about 5 times on WM6 to start the SMS, on my Nokia I press a button and there is the txt program start typing, can anyone tell me what is the simplest way or easiest way with as few clicks as possible to start a txt message ? are there programs that make this easy and simple ?

thanks

Message button on the actual phone..right by the soft keys..also lots of home screen plug ins, such as the HTC Home plug in allow you to tap a button on your screen and bring up text immediately.

Still takes way more clicks than convenient.
Press message button (or scroll down to messages on today screen).
Go to text/multimedia messages. (if you haven't set it so it goes there already, rather than to the e-mail box)
Press menu.
Select New.
Move to the right.
Move down to select SMS instead of MMS.

Yeah, would be nice to have a "send new text message" button that goes directly from the today screen to a new, open text message.

How about creating a shortcut to go directly to Compose SMS and bind that shortcut to a softkey?

Create a shortcut with the following command:
99#\Windows\tmail.exe -service "SMS" -to "" body ""

Get HTC Action and assign it to your PTT button (one press). Works like a charm.
