hid all icons via customize? restore or way to get them back?

I feel like such a boob for this one!! I was playing around with new customize and hid all my icons. I have earned bonehead play of the week. Now is there a way to get them back or do i have to restore all over again

How did you hid ALL the icons by accident?

There should be a way to do it. Maybe iBrickr, or get into Preferences or something. If you can launch an app somehow, all you need to do is start Customize of course.

on the new version of customize there is an little eye next to each icon when in the order screen. i clicked off all the eyes and when it restarted there were no icons on my screen. Just a blank wallpaper. With not knowing how to get them back I had to restore all over again, which inturn i had to rejailbreak it! Prolly a way to find them, but this was the quickest way to do that i knew of at the time.

Well, that was just stupid of you.

Hardly "accidental", since it required - literally - multiple clicks to do so!

That's worse than my deleting the Preferences.app file (which I did *accidentally* by renaming another one to that.)

Lesson learned, eh?

I wonder if you used SSH or another transfer program to install a different version of customize, would it show up??

uhh install xlauncher and use that to toggle visibility of icons until you get them all back up then use customize to order...

thanx d, but unfortuanelty i earned this one! i restored it back and started fresh. lesson learned. Birds over Pats by 3!!

As to the icon thing, I should've realized that any launcher would've been a solution for you. It even says it right on the customize website!

Actually it's easy to hide more icons than you want to. The little eye that Customize uses toggles very easily.

Thats why I moved Mail and safari off my Dock and put Installer and XLaunch there instead. So if something ever hides a critical icon I can always go back and fix it

The same thing happened to me but I was lucky enough to have Dock 2.0 installed on my iPhone. I used the sunburst to open up Customize and fixed my problem.

You could have just loaded up another backed up icon order .plist and saved your self some trouble.

If your current one is fine, just back it up should something go haywire again.
