Corner of glass display lower than chrome trim

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I noticed some iPhones (mine included) have a corner or two of the glass display itself that are sunken lower than the polished chrome frame that surrounds the display.
My lower left corner of the glass display is considerably lower. You can see and feel it and crud gets built up in this corner. The other 3 corners are perfectly smooth and flush with the chrome.

This is my second iPhone in 2 days. First one was defective. Maybe this one is also. I have 1.0.2 installed and when you scroll the screen it is jittery as it is coming to a stop.

Keep building em' in China Steve.

appearing so

These phones are built better then about 99% of phones out there. I would just take it in stride, and be happy that the phone is so beautiful.

Just my opinion though.

Mine is like that and super annoying. It is the bottom right so everytime I unlock it I feel it. Plus is pulls my hair out.

Yes it is a beautiful phone and no doubt better than anything else. It just seems that every iPhone I have looked at has had some sort of build inconsistency.

Seriously though, look at how many have had defective screens, white dots, light leakage, black levels way off, etc...

I don't have much hair to pull, but I can see where it would do that. And it sure does feel crappy when you run your finger across it. The rest of the phone is so perfect then the corner of the display dips down. Damn.

Wow. I'd consider that a major physical flaw, take that back to the store.

i had one like this. took it right back to the at&t store. they tried to tell me i had to pay $40 restock to do an exchange. I asked for the manager, removed my other iphone from my pocket and said "feel the difference" he had no problem exchangin it for free. It was rediculous, my thumb snagged on it everytime i unlocked.

on mine if u looked closely there was a larger than normal gap between the back housing anf the silver bezel.

Damn, i might try and get it fixed/exchanged. This is my second phone and the first one was the same way.

The only problem is i dropped it on my tile once and there is a tiny dent that they'll try to blame it on i'm sure.
